Good Full Stop Snack Bar Review & Reader Offer

When you enter a giveaway and actually win, it’s such a buzz isn’t it?

This is something I rarely get to experience myself, so you can imagine my delight when a notification popped up on my phone to say that I’d been selected as the lucky winner of a #FreebieFriday giveaway on Twitter. The prize was an assortment of Good Full Stop snack bars 😋

I was really chuffed as I’d been wanting to try these bars for ages. They’re produced by a company based in Devon, South West England (so not far from me) and I’d read lots of good things about them. On the website, the bars are described as being made with ‘natural, wholesome ingredients’ with ‘a hint of naughtiness’. Now that does sound enticing, doesn’t it?

There are currently nine flavour combinations in the range, all of which are vegan and gluten-free

1. Berry Berry Good (Raspberry)
2. Cherry Sweet &  Cherry Good (Cherry & Maple)
3. Very Nutty and Very Good (Mixed Nuts)

4. Chocolate is Twice as Good (Double Choc)
5. Cool, Minty and Good (Choc & Mint)
6. Sun Kissed and Good (Choc & Orange)

7. Full of Beans and So Good (Mocha & Caffeine)
8. Devilishly Hot and Good  (Double Choc & Chilli)
9. Red Hot and Very Good (Fiery Choc & Chilli)

Me and the boys had much fun trying out the different flavours. To identify our favourites, we gave each bar a score out of 10. The testing often happened while we were on a weekend bike ride. The bars turned out to be great biking fuel, helping to keep us energised as we climbed up the steep hills round Bath.

There were four clear winners for us….

In first place, scoring perfect 10s, was the Chocolate is Twice as Good (Double Choc). This bar is truly scrumptious. It contains nuts and fruits, but also lots of real chocolate, giving it the most amazing chocolatey flavour. It’s vegan, yet somehow it reminded us of Cadbury milk chocolate.

In second place, scoring all 9s, was the Sunkissed and Good (Choc & Orange). This bar has delicious little bites of real chocolate as well as zesty orange peel. A beautiful flavour combination.

And coming in a close third (scoring two 8s and a 9) was the Full of Beans and so Good (Mocha & Caffeine). If you’re a coffee chocolate lover like me, then this is the bar for you. It has a rich coffee flavour, again with little bites of real chocolate in the bar. It also contains caffeine, so will perk you up if you find yourself in an afternoon or mid-morning slump.

It’s no surprise to me that our top three favourites all contained chocolate, however, there was one fruity bar that we especially enjoyed (and came a close fourth), and that was Berry Berry Good (Raspberry). This bar contains little pieces of freeze-dried raspberry which give it a beautiful hit of berry flavour.

Though I’m a complete spice wimp, I did try a tiny bite of the chilli bars, even the extreme one – the Fiery Choc & Chilli. Lucien laughed his head off as I started to go red in the face and have trouble breathing. It felt like my throat was on fire! Even Mark couldn’t manage to finish eating it. Needless to say, you have to be a serious chilli fan to brave this one.

I’m thrilled that I finally got to try the range of Good Full Stop bars. The top four mentioned above were amongst the best snack bars I’ve ever tasted. Filled with nuts and dried fruits, these bars are just perfect for stashing in your bag, ready for when you need an energy boost or pick-me-up. I also think they’d make a great addition to Christmas hampers and treat gift boxes ❤️
