The Vegan Kind’s 2nd Anniversary plus a UK Giveaway!

I can’t believe it’s already been a whole year since I wrote this post celebrating TVK’s first anniversary, and two years since I received my first ever TVK box! I still get extremely excited when it’s “TVK time”, perhaps even more so than ever. Just when I think they can’t possibly get any better, the TVK team will send out a box that totally blows me away.

These past twelve months, TVK has introduced us to 58 brands and 67 vegan products, almost all of which were new to me.

I love the fact that the boxes include a mix of edible items as well as toiletries and household products. This really sets TVK apart from other vegan subscription boxes.

From what I recall, this past year, all products included in the boxes (bar one luxury moisturiser) have been full size – including the shower gels and shampoos! I hear other subscription boxes include a lot of samples, so this is a big bonus point to TVK.

With only a couple of exceptions, I’ve loved every product in the boxes. I didn’t expect this to be the case, considering the wide range of tastes that TVK has to cater for.

This year, the boxes have been more ‘family friendly’ than ever. Each month, I always find there’s ‘something for everyone’ in the box. Lil’ L is as eager as me to do the ‘big reveal’ when a new box arrives.

I was trying to think of my favourite TVK product from the past year, but it’s impossible as I’ve loved so many! Here are a dozen or so ‘favourites’ that instantly spring to mind…

Each TVK box also includes a collectable recipe card. I’ve been lucky enough to have two of my recipes featured this past year… my Red Lentil and Cashew Nut Loaf (which I’ll be making for our Christmas dinner again this year) and my Malaysian Coconut Noodle Soup with Smoked Tofu.

Each month, TVK also supports an animal-friendly charity, by donating 10p for every box sold. Each charity is chosen by TVK fans via their Facebook page. This past year, TVK has supported The Dr Hadwen Trust, Soi Dog Foundation, Veganuary, Mino Valley Farm Sanctuary, The Trusty Paw’s Clinic, C-A-L-F Animal Sanctuary, Hugletts Wood Farm Animal Sanctuary, Rabbit Run-Away Orphanage, Wing and a Prayer, Vegan Billboard, Teen VGN and Austin’s Hamster Haven.

I imagine a lot of my readers are already TVK subscribers but, if it’s new to you and you’d like to find out more, do check out their website and social media pages. The boxes are just £10 per month (plus P&P) and they ship worldwide. They also have Christmas Selection boxes, Lifestyle box gifts, Beauty box gifts and Gift subscriptions, which would make a wonderful present for your vegan loved ones this festive season.

  1. Hi Sharon

As you know I’m a huge fan of TVK boxes but due to our current budget, I had to stop getting them. Of the products featured I would like to try the Yummy Scrummy bar! Thank you for the opportunity!

  2. Ive got a huge sweet tooth so would be choco cookie for me! Looks so yummy! also the quinoa snack packs would be so handy for my lunches to take to university when im working on my masters!

  3. I would be most excited to try the Hurraw lip balm as it is difficult to find lipbalms which do not contain bees wax so it would be great to have one that is completely vegan!

  4. Chocolate is (un)fortunately my favourite food and I really like trying different vegan brands so I’d go with the chocolate cookie bar too. I like dipping a few squares of chocolate in my tea before bedtime so winning this box would be really helpful in supporting this rather bad habit!

  5. I so want to try a Hurraw lip balm, but the postage is absurbed just for a lip balm, so this would be perfect. I’m still trying to make slow steps towards veganism and this box would help so much!

  6. Cocoa Libre Honeycomb Milk chocolate- sounds yummy. I’m a vegetarian trying to go vegan, so the chance to try new products is great!

  7. Happy anniversary, I love the idea behind your blog – I keep looking ways to get a healthier diet to my family.
The Quinoa Chips sounds fab , I love quinoa!

  8. Cocoa Libre Honeycomb Milk chocolate slab! Sounds delicious, and “milk” chocolate is something I haven’t found a good one of yet

  9. Where to start….everything sounds delicious. Being a lover of raw foods, I’d be particularly excited to try the Elements for Life Yummy Scrummy Raw Chocolate Brownie

  10. I’m looking forward to trying The 10 acre crisps. My hubby and son are gluten intolerant and this would be perfect for them. Thank you for the chance 🙂
